The AWESOME M.B.

13th March 2011 shall be a day I will be remembering for the rest of my life. Not only did I watch my favourite singer belt out fantastic songs with his so amazing voice but I was well charmed and entertained throughout the whole two hours which seemed like half an hour. He is like a time warp machine. Really! Ask anyone present and they'll tell you the same.

My best buddy and I watching the one and only Michael Bublé

Priceless tickets to watch MB

So the exciting night began with Najwa opening for Michael. She was kinda good to me. She writes pretty nice songs and her voice is cool. But she was not the reason I was there, so lets cut short about Najwa. Lol. Anyway, I hope local acts like her are able to make into the tough music scene.

At 8.35p.m., the lights around the stadium went dimmed. Then the stage came to life with some lighting display accompanied by music played by Michael's Band. The crowd just soared. Brighter lights came on and we could see Michael orchestrating his band.

The curtain was drawn then. And in the middle of the stage, he stood. Michael Buble in his grey tuxedo, looking all good and raring to go. And so without further delay, he belted out James Bond's theme, Cry Me a River. It was just so AMAZING. At the end of it, before he moved on to this second of the night, he cheekily asked how the crowd were doing and they just went CRAZY! That's how charming he really is.

He then carried on with All of Me before he greeted us.

After that, he noticed a sign in the crowd. He read in out in animated voice and asked her to come forward for him to sign in. How I wish I was there too! Many lucky front seaters got to take advantage of the situation by the way. After singing, he actually asked for $5 for each signature he gave out. I would so pay for one! Haha. He carried on cracking some more jokes (about fans loving him, meeting Jimmy Choo and wanting to make shoes), praising the food and beautiful people and then announced that he was engaged.

Next came the sentimental At This Moment which was followed by Mack the Knife. Pure brilliant. After that, the lights went off again and the familiar starting tune of his own written song, Everything came on air and I just had to sing along to this one. Lol.

He then took some time off singing and introduced his band mates, whom he calls his best buddies. Once again, he was superb. He introduced band mates like no other singers do. He talked about their kids, their slutty habits, one looking like Rambo with a camera so he is Cambo, another dropping baseball to play the saxophone to get more girls and about not having any favourites but called the Canadian born member his favourite. Lol. He is just so funny. But the best introduction was went he tricked the crowd into believing that one of his "brothers" was a Malaysia. That "brother" played along and the crowd was cheering so loud until he said he was just kidding. What the hell right? Lol! He then showed us that these band mates could sing too when he belted out I've Got the World on a String.

Then he took some time off again and showed us how he warm up his vocals back stage. This was really so random. With Alan Chang, his pianist and co-producer, they playfully performed Don't Stop Believing (I guess he is a Gleek too) and Aladdin's A Whole New World. He was also so full of expressions.

Next, he sang Crazy Love, Georgia on My Mind and For Once in My Life. And at the end of the third, he said he doesn't need to go over the top when in fact he just did. Lol

And now another random moment. Michael said he never wanted to do Frank Sinatra, etc. He wanted to be the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. So he sang Billie Jean while dancing. He failed his moonwalk, he failed he vocal part. But he aced the crotch holding! Hahahaha! He then cheered us to Beatles' Twist and Shout. There were also four beach balls in the crowd at this part. None of them reached where I was sitting though. :(

Now any fan of Michael's would know that he likes to get personal with the crowd and his stop in Kuala Lumpur was no different when he sang All I Do is Dream of You while walking in the crowd. Many lucky viewers got to shake hands and hug him but once again, no such luck for me. :'( He proceeded to a second stage where he sang his number one hit, Home acoustic. It was really very nice. Especially with the crowd all singing along with him.

He then got back to the main stage, singing three more hits; Save the Last Dance for Me, How Sweet It is (To be Loved by You) and Heartache Tonight. And he closed the show with his first single from his Crazy Love album, Haven't Met You Yet while giving the singles hope that they will someday find 'the one' like he did in his fiancee and wife-to-be.

After that, he left but not the crowd. We cheered and cheered for an encore and it did not take him long to get up on stage again, singing Feeling Good. He continued with Me and Mrs Jones and really closed the show with A Song for You. The last was so special as the curtains were drawn to a close halfway through and the stadium went pitch dark. Then a spot light focusing on Michael appeared and he sang without his mike! Just like that. I've seen and heard him do that on videos but it was nothing like being there! Paying RM250, I got the cheapest ticket and I was so far away but I could so clearly hear him.

And with that, the show came to a close. But for the strong 9,000 people crowd present that night, memories of a wonderful and amazing show will live on for a very long time. I personally would and if would jump at a chance to see him again. He is just sooooooo goooooooooodddddd.

The MOST Awesome Concert in My Diaries So Far

So I went up all the way to Kuala Lumpur again for another concert (it is further this time because I came back all the way from JOHOR and then got back to JOHOR the very next day!). Anyway, it was definitely worth it and have I missed it, I would cry! Lol.

Anyway, before I go any further, here's my thank you list.
1. God - For protecting and blessing us throughout our entire journey. And for letting me win the tickets in the first place. RM672 is the biggest amount I've ever won in my entire life (RM168 x 4 tickets).
2. DADDY!!!! - For being willing to drive us up to KL, wait for the whole concert to finish and driving us back.
3. Mummy - For allowing us to go.
4. Hitz.FM - FOR GIVING ME THE TICKETS OF COURSE!!!!
5. Sandra Wong - Somehow, I think she helped because daddy, Matt, Yen Pin and I spoke about asking her for luck and stuffs and I really won.
6. TuneTalk - For organising the concert.
And....
7. PARAMORE!!!!!!!!!! - For coming and performing!!!
Also, to Vinod and Terence for getting the tickets for me. =)

So I guess when it comes to concert, I'm no dancer or jumper. I think I prefer to relax and enjoy the show. Call me weird or whatever but that's just how I sway, people. And for the records, I love to record the show too because that way, I get to relive the moments over and over again. And I still have as much fun as those who yelled their lungs out and jumped like crazy. Lol. But put me in the rock zone and you'll see me ditching the cameras and then I would too go crazy as well. Lol!

Anyway, Paramore or Hayley Williams actually belted out 18 songs. It started kinda rough with the vocals as Hayley couldn't really keep up with the really loud band but as the show progressed, it got better. The acoustic songs (Never Let This Go, When It Rains, Where The Lines Overlap and Misguided Ghosts) were brilliant. Popular songs like Decode, That's What You Get, Careful and Pressure were spot on. The encores (Brick by Boring Brick and Misery Business) were FREAKING AMAZING. And and and, my favourite of the night, the song of my year, The Only Exception was pure master class. It was just so amazing.

And the band, they are are AMAZING!!! Josh Farro, the lead guitarist, was brilliant. So was Taylor York and Jeremy Davis. Also, the drummer, Zac Farro, he was brilliant too. And not forgetting, the lead vocalist, Hayley Williams. She was so full of energy, her stage presence was good and she definitely know how to please the crowd. Just amazing.

All in all, as far as my opinion and experience in concerts count, I'd say those who miss Paramore last night miss one hell of a concert. It was this music lover's opinion the best she has seen. It took them six years to get here but boy they rocked Kuala Lumpur hard last night. Should they ever come again, free tickets or not, I'm making my way to them again. No one does emo-pop punk music they way the do and for that, Paramore, YOU ARE THE ONLY EXCEPTION.

Kelly Clarkson Was AMAZING

This was one brilliant concert. =) And I have to thank both my parents and cousin for it. Firstly, my mother for sponsoring the tickets. Thanks, ma! Secondly, my dad for bring us there. He actually watched the concert from outside the stadium too. Lol! He saw some boys on their motorcycles sitting at this corner and checked it out as he was curious and guess what? He could actually watch the whole show from there. But not Kelly per say. The big screens. Still good enough. Lol. So thanks, pa!! Lastly, my cousin, Terence, for getting us the tickets and for all the trouble sending them to us. A million thanks!

Now back to the awesome concert. It was Matt's first. So he was really excited about the whole thing. Lol. He was funny. Anyway, Natalie from Hitz.fm hosted the show. She started entertaining the crowd at around 7.20p.m.. Making the crowd go wild, screaming Kelly Clarkson's name, etc. And then she gave out her posters. She tried to throw them to the crowd but couldn't throw far. Lol. So RELA officers helped her. Then she announced the local acts involved. Suki (yucky) and JACKLYN VICTOR (yay!!).

At around 7.55p.m., Jacklyn came on stage and performed a medley of her songs. It was brilliant. And her hair was like Lacey Brown's (American Idol Season 9 contestant). But it ain't red in colour though. Still really cool. And her voice - AMAZING.

She was done by 8.15p.m. and Suki came on. She wore this HUGE dress. I wonder if I have a picture of it. I doubt though because we were saving the memory card space to record Kelly's performance. Anyway, she started off with a little violin play and then proceeded to sing one of her songs (Malay song). It wasn't good to me. Just ok like she was in One In A Million, which she won anyway. Couldn't really get what she was singing.

After that one song, it was gonna be Kelly's turn. So the crowd got happy and excited. Lol. We then saw this white van coming in and the crowd, thinking it was Kelly, roared. Then this other silver Toyota Alphard came in, looking all shiny and that is for sure her. Lol. So the crowd roared even louder. Lol. And I saw her head when she was coming out of it. Lol.

8.30p.m.. and Kelly came hoping on the stage, singing All I Ever Wanted. She continued with another 2 songs before she greeted the crowd. By now, I am already amazed by her voice. It was AMAZING. SUPER AMAZING. Anyway, before the night ends, she would have sung about 20 songs. It was SO GOOD. Some were acoustic too. And she also covered a few different artists' songs too. Among them are Alanis Morissette's That I Would Be Good, Kings of Leon's Use Somebody and Kylie Minogue's If I Can't Have You and Can't Get You Out of My Head. She also did a nice work on White Stripes' hit Seven Nation Army at the end. It was cool. Anyway, if I were to list down all her performances, it would be a long list. Lol. It was just so cool and she covered most of her hit singles. =)

I also called darling during the concert. Lol. She so badly wanted to go but was separated by the sea. Lol. Called her during Already Gone and she loved it. Lol. So I called her again during the last song, My Life Would Suck Without You. Lol.

Anyway, I think this is where I would end my post. It was just so good. As good as BEP or maybe just a little less. =) All in all, still AWESOME! Oh yeah. Kelly likes to hop and spin around on the stage and it is so cute. Lol

Hmm..

In about half an hour, we ('darling' Cera, Duckie, Petrie, Spike, me the Little Foot, Ma Lee, Sheue Yih and Foon Yee and her family) will be off to Kukup for a trip. 2 days and a night. Will be back tomorrow. And then on Tuesday, we'll probably roam the town again. Lol.

Have anyone heard the tracks from the Hannah Montana The Movie soundtrack by the way? Theyhave awesome sons on there. Will review it pretty soon.

Next, sports. Novak Djokovic thrashed Roger Federer last night. In soccer, all 3 Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal won last night. Liverpool will be playing tonight, I think. Arsenal won 3-0 by the way. At Fratton Park. Against Pompey. Goals from Nicklas Bendtner (2) and Carlos Vela. Mancester United defeated Middlesbrough 2-0 while Chelsea defeated Fulham 3-1 in a Lodon derby.

Well, I guess that is it from me now. Will blog about the trip when I get back.

One Down! Yay! (Almost.. -Sigh-)

As I am posting this, I am down to 2 assignments! Or maybe I could say I am almost there. Lol. Nonetheless, yippee!!!! (2 more should be coming anyway. -Sigh-)

After 3 days of enslaving my buruh's', CraBp and Old Man (the other 2 have contributed nothing so far -not their fault as I did not actaully give them work and they will be contributing in other departments-), we are nearly completed with our Ethnic Relations paperwork. I must say though that it was not really tough actually as it was basically translation work only. But our Bahasa Malaysia is not exactly as good as it once was. Rusty already. Haha. But anyhow, a HUGE THANK YOU to my 2 beloved buruh's', 'darling' CraBp and Old Man for their contribution. I really appreciate your co-operation, especially 'darling' CraBp who was even willing to sleep at 12.30a.m. this morning in the completion of the paperwork (the only reason we actually stopped then and not later was because she got hungry). Also, sorry if I was too bossy. Lol. Just wanted to get it done asap. Lol

So now I just need to do some final touch up for Ethnic Relations paperwork, throw in some pictures and have it edited by another member. Then voila! I am officially down to 2! And soon 1! I am already halfway through with the paperwork on Hans Eysenck. I just need to edit 3 of my members' work and put them together and that should be it.

And then the toughest paperwork should begin. Islamic Psychology. Hate that subject but what the hack. Motivation In The Islamic Perspective. -Sigh- That should be extremely tough as until now, we don't really have any good source!! Argh! Hell!

Ok. I will just leave my vents about assignment there.

Now moving on to something more fun. Ma Lee actually has a keyboard with her for the past week. And guess what? These hands of mine (which has NEVER touch a keyboard or a piano before in their entire lifespan so far) actually have talent in playing the keyboard! Awesome huh? And I am not even boasting here. Ma Lee (an 8 grader in playing piano) said this, "You are a very fast learner and I think if you actually started learning a long time ago, you would probably be holding a diploma in piano already now." Cool! Lol. So now I am able to play a part of Beethoven's Fur Elise (even played it to my mum!) and also one really cute song. All thanks to my 'piano teacher'. Haha

Well, till then, I am done with this post. Wanna get back to my work. -Sigh-

I Can Never Get Enough Il Divo!!

Il Divo's songs are driving me mad today. From morning til now, I have been listening to them. I think I can already sing in French and Italian and Spanish! Lol! Just kidding. That is bound for disaster if I even tried. Hmm..

Anyway, I have to say again that I love their new album so much. I saw them performing some of the songs from The Promise in Rome on YouTube earlier and they were just as awesome. And I can never stress enough that Sébastien Izambard is so good looking (although he is not a bearded guy).

Watching them also made me regret all over again the fact that I missed them while they were in KL last year. I really should have gone. Silly 'pig' made it there though. Damn you! Just kidding. Lol. But I am never gonna miss them if they ever come around this region again.

-Sigh- Il Divo is driving me nuts! Some of my favourites currently are:

1. Hallelujah

2. Amazing Grace

3. The Power of Love

And

4. The Winner Takes It All

I am officially losing my head. I think I am listening to them for the 10th time now. Or maybe even more.

Single Ladies

I got to thank Sandra for this. I actually first saw this on her blog and I find it freaking adorable. Matt and I watched it and we were smiling all the way. So THANK YOU, SANDRA. And sorry for having a mimic on here.

So anyway, Single Ladies is Beyonce's latest single, I think. Not really into her. Matt would know though. The reasons he is into her is rather obvious. Lol.

Ok. Crap's over. Just view the video below and you'll see how adorable little Adrianna is. It is true that children are good impersonators.

Cute huh? Once again, THANK YOU, PRINCESS SANDRA! Lol

The Ting Tings - We Started Nothing

I don't know if it is my current mood or my taste for music is taking another turn. People who know me well would say, "Nat wouldn't like The Ting Tings's songs." And that is true. But somehow, I find their album great.

We Started Nothing by The Ting Tings was released earlier this year and it hit the number one spot in The UK and there isn't any reason to doubt why it did in my opinion. Their songs are original and I think pretty unique.

And for those who don't know them, they are an English indie pop band, consisting of two members, Jules De Martino and Katie White.

My favourite in their debut album I must say is That's Not My Name. I think I am pretty much addicted to it already since I first heard it on Hitz.TV. Really cool song.

Other tracks on the album are as follows:

Great DJ
Fruit Machine
Traffic Light
Shut Up and Let Me Go
Keep Your Head
Be the One
We Walk
Impacilla Carpisung
We Started Nothing

And below is That's Not My Name. =)

Il Divo - The Promise

So finally, Il Divo came up with another album, their third, The Promise. It is a studio album by the opera quartet. It was announced that the new album will be released globally on November 10th, except in the US and Canada, where it is scheduled to be released November 18, Ireland where it was released on November 7th, and Japan, on 26 November. The album also reached the number 1 spot in the UK on 16th November.

So anyway, to me, this is an awesome album. The track listing is as follows:

1. The Power Of Love (La Fuerza Mayor)
2. La Promessa
3. Adagio
4. Hallelujah (Aleluya)
5. L'Alba Del Mondo
6. Enamorado
7. Angelina
8. The Winner Takes It All (Va Todo Al Ganador)
9. La Luna
10. She
11. Amazing Grace

All the songs are AMAZING!! And handsome Sébastien Izambard (the second from the left in the album cover) actually sings a lot this time. Among my favourites are La Promessa, Adagio, Hallelujah, Angelina, La Luna and She. This band has made me fall more deeply in love with them. Awesome album!!

Don't Cheat In Our Hometown

I always like country songs but being in Malaysia, you don't always hear them on the radio, do you? Except for reason times since Taylor Swift made it big. However, as I was surfing the net today, I stumbled across High School Musical's Lucas Grabeel's playlist on MySpace and heard this song. And I feel in love with it the minute I heard the tune of it. Just lovely. It is Don't Cheat In Our Hometown by Keith Whitley and Ricky Shaggs. And I even managed to get this from YouTube. By the looks of it, I think these 2 singers have gone to the other world already. Lol. Great song though.
